Happy St. Patrick's Day

I’m not Irish. I’m German and Czech, and likely many other things (not unlike a rescue puppy whose coat, appearance, behavior and energy level all provide clues to disparate breeds).

But over the years, I have mastered the Irish Goodbye (ask anyone who’s been at a social gathering with me), I once dog sat an Irish Setter, and back in the day, I was known, like so many others, to drink a green beer (or two) on March 17 (a tradition that is likely less Irish than I am).

Anyway, with a  cordial “Top ‘o the mornin’,” I’ll tell you I’m not writing an essay this week.

And with that I’ll bid you a blessed, happy and safe day, and quietly leave you.
