Just ... Move ... Forward

Today, I'm offering something a bit different ... a "short" if you will. Most mornings, I journal; just 100 words or so, written in pen in a composition book about whatever is on my mind at the moment. Usually, these entries are prescriptive, directing how I want to pursue the day or week. I call this journaling, "The Things I Tell Myself." I usually keep these locked away from others, but I thought I'd share today's. Maybe it will offer inspiration.
Put your best foot forward. Either foot. Then, swing your other foot forward, and repeat as often as necessary to create positive motion … action … momentum.
That's life in a nutshell; literally and symbolically. It's moving … your body, your mind and your soul. It doesn’t have to always be your “best.” It doesn’t have to be pretty or graceful or grandiose.
And it doesn’t rely on others for you to succeed; it’s just you navigating your world and your day. In this hour. And this moment. One step at a time.
Today, focus on just moving forward. And at the end of the day, see how far you’ve traveled.
